Tyler Dibling scored for England Under-21s as three Everton players shared the pitch during Tuesday night’s European Championship qualifier against the Republic of Ireland.
Dibling started and gave England an early lead in Cork before Harrison Armstrong and Tyrique George were both introduced after 61 minutes. That meant Everton had three players representing Lee Carsley’s side together for more than 20 minutes.
England eventually suffered a 3-1 defeat at Turner’s Cross, although their place at next summer’s European Under-21 Championship had already been secured.
For Everton, Dibling’s early goal provided the standout moment of a night that again demonstrated the club’s representation within England’s age groups.

Dibling needed only seven minutes to make his mark. Divin Mubama’s effort was deflected across goal, and the Everton winger arrived at the far post to finish from close range, giving England an early lead.
Ireland responded through Tommy Lonergan and Conor McManus to lead 2-1 before the interval, with Lonergan adding his second of the night after the break to establish a two-goal advantage.
Everton’s presence then increased shortly after the hour. Armstrong replaced Josh King and George came on for Amario Cozier-Duberry in the 61st minute, joining Dibling on the pitch.
Dibling remained involved until the 82nd minute, when Samuel Amo-Ameyaw took his place. That gave the three Everton youngsters 21 minutes together as England attempted to find a route back into the game.
There was no comeback, but England had already done the important work earlier in their qualifying campaign.
Carsley’s side finished top of their group with 23 points and will compete at the European Under-21 Championship in Serbia and Albania next summer, when England will attempt to defend the title they have won at the last two tournaments.
For Everton, Dibling’s goal was the main takeaway from the evening, while Armstrong and George collected further international minutes at Under-21 level.
It also completed a notable night for the club. Jordan Pickford, James Garner and Jarrad Branthwaite had all finished England’s senior victory over Czechia together at Wembley, meaning six Everton players featured across the two national sides.
In both matches, three Everton players were on the pitch at the same time.
