Marco Silva has confirmed that Lucas Digne is fit to feature against Aston Villa on Friday.
The French full-back had been a doubt after leaving the pitch with a hamstring injury with 15 minutes left against Watford on Saturday, with Leighton Baines potentially in line for his first start of the new season.
However, Silva has revealed in his pre-match press conference that Digne will be available, should the Portuguese coach choose to play him.
Several Everton fans took to Twitter in excitement at the news, with last season’s Everton Player of the Year a fundamental component in the Toffees’ success under Silva.

Great news for Everton, this. Lucas Digne’s importance to the Toffees is so understated, despite how many fans praise his ability all day long. He is such a key player for Silva and the way in which Silva wants his team to play, and having him fit can only be a massive plus point as Everton look to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
