Dowell pens new contract at Everton

Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell has put pen to paper on a new contract, the club has confirmed.

Callum Connolly has also signed a new deal and signed for Wigan on a season-long loan in the Championship.

Dowell has signed a new three-year contract at Everton after an impressive season on loan to Nottingham Forest in the second division.

The 20-year-old scored ten goals in 43 appearances and was seen as one of the best attacking midfielders in the Championship.

He now looks set for a chance to impress in Everton’s first-team and make his breakthrough into the Premier League.

The England under-21 international has made three first-team appearances for Everton since coming through the academy set-up at the club.
