Everton have been linked with a plethora of managers in the last few days, including Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
Following the news that Ronald Koeman had been sacked on Monday, the hunt for a new man at the helm has begun from the Everton hierarchy, and Dyche has been the most heavily linked with a move to the Goodison Park hot-seat.
Dyche has done a stellar job with the Clarets and has led them to a strong start to the season, achieving consistent success with limited funds over the course of several years.
As quoted by the Daily Post, when discussing the links to the Everton job, Dyche admitted that he is “flattered”, but insisted that his focus lies with Burnley.

I’ve said it a few times with the various clubs that have been mentioned – you’re always flattered because it recognises the work that myself, my players and staff do. You’re flattered by the fact some of your work is recognised. It’s other people’s stories, it’s not mine. It’s right that I get asked about it.
Yet again, (Everton are) another good club, I’m respectful of all clubs in all situations. But I’m equally respectful of my situation now.
I just get on with it. I’ve been through it, and had the experience of those sort of links at various times, more so than in the last couple of years. I just continue to get on with what I’m doing and that’s the focus.
David Unsworth is currently in caretaker charge of the club, and could yet be in with a chance of becoming the Everton manager on a permanent basis following an impressive stint with the club’s Under-23 side.
