Everton 0-0 Arsenal – Everton Player Ratings

Duncan Ferguson saw his interim Everton tenure finish unbeaten as the Toffees drew 0-0 with Arsenal at Goodison Park.

Carlo Ancelotti and Mikel Arteta were both in the stands watching their respective clubs, with the Italian set to take charge of the Blues ahead of facing Burnley on Boxing Day.

The first half was fairly devoid of quality, with Arsenal knocking the ball around the midfield and in defence, while Everton failed to capitalise when they overturned possession.

After half-time, the game picked up much more, with the Gunners putting the home side under consistent pressure, with Freddie Ljungberg’s youthful side exerting much more energy.

However, neither side were able to create any real clear cut chances, meaning both clubs shared the spoils, earning a point each.

This result means that Ferguson did not lose to Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal in the Premier League, and that total of five points is much higher than had anticipated it would be.

From this encounter, here is how we rated the Everton players:
