Carlo Ancelotti kicked off his tenure as Everton manager with a deserved win over Burnley at Goodison Park.
It was a frustrating game at times with Everton dominating the lion’s share of possession, only to fail on many occasions to do anything with it.
Djibril Sidibe’s inclusion as a right winger raised some eyebrows before kick-off, but his excellent delivery for Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s winner erased doubts over his quality and Ancelotti’s decision-making.
