Everton agree deal to sell Aaron Lennon to Burnley

Everton have accepted a bid from Burnley to sign winger Aaron Lennon, although the fee that the Clarets will pay has not been disclosed.

The arrival of Theo Walcott at Goodison Park saw Lennon fall further down the pecking order, and with Yannick Bolasie now fit, his chances of getting regular game time were reduced.

At 30 years old, Lennon is at a stage of his career where he wants to play regularly and as such, he will join up with Sean Dyche’s side.

Lennon still needs to complete a medical before the move is made official but personal terms have been agreed between his advisors and the Clartets.

The former England international has played 19 games for the Toffees this season and will be hoping to feature regularly at Turf Moor as Burnley look to secure a place in the Europa League.
