Queens Park Rangers could be set to make a bid for Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland, who has also caught the eye of Everton, according to the Daily Record.
The Record report that Les Ferdinand, director of football for the R’s, is set to travel to watch Dundee United take on Hibernian on Sunday ahead of the London club deciding to whether to make an offer for Shankland.
Should the 24-year old forward impress, it is said that the Championship side will make their move for the man who has emerged as their top target this month.

As well as Everton holding an interest in Shankland, the Record report that Rangers, Celtic, Brentford and Middlesbrough have also all been watching the striker in recent months.
Dundee United have maintained their transfer stance of Shankland, that he will not be sold in this window, while manager Robbie Neilson admits that the club haven’t yet received any bids for the forward.

The Scotland international has been in electric form for Dundee United this season, and with 22 goals in 19 league appearances, the 24-year old certainly knows where the net is.
Able to hold-up the ball well and provide excellent link up play, as claimed by Scotland manager Steve Clarke in October (Belfast Telegraph), Shankland could be someone who helps tie the midfield and attacker together at Goodison Park.
Celtic and Rangers usually have a monopoly on talent in the Premiership, which could mean that Everton may struggle to land Shankland should one of the Old Firm duo make an offer, but the Blues should expect to beat QPR if they are really keen on making an offer.
