Everton are to scout Tufan during Fenerbahce derby clash this weekend

Everton, as well as Crystal Palace, will send scouts to watch Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan in action this weekend, according to Turkish Football.

Fotospor claimed earlier this week that Everton are one of several clubs interested in the 24-year old, while Fanatik made a similar claim last week.

The Turkey international, who the report claims is set to leave Fenerbahce in the summer, has seemingly caught the eye of a number of clubs across Europe.

Now Turkish Football have gone one step further, claiming that Everton have now made the active decision to scout the midfielder in the flesh, as they eye potential summer recruits.

Fenerbahce are set to face bitter rivals Galatasaray in the Intercontinental Derby this weekend, and Turkish Football claim to have heard from a Yellow Canaries’ source that Everton have sought accreditation to be in attendance.

Tufan’s agent recently revealed that his client has a release clause of just €20million, so that’s the amount either the Toffees or the Eagles will likely have to pay to bring him to the Premier League.

With both Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin having failed to impress on a regular basis this season, it wouldn’t be surprising if Carlo Ancelotti looks to bring in midfield reinforcements in the summer.

In fact, the Liverpool Echo theorise that the Italian could look to sign an engine man, with Ancelotti set to impose his own ideas onto the playing squad.

Tufan has played 49 times for Turkey and has been a regular for Fenerbahce this season, playing 22 times in the Super Lig, scoring twice and assisting five times (Transfermarkt).

Signing players from Turkey can be a gamble, as we’ve seen from Cenk Tosun’s failure to impress at Goodison Park.

However, for €20million (which is relatively cheap in the modern market), Tufan could be worth a go if Everton do identify him as someone who can bolster the squad and bring quality to thier side
