Pickford was widely expected to leave Sunderland following their relegation to the Championship and arrives at Goodison Park for an initial fee believed to be somewhere in the region of £25 million.
Whilst £30 million was considered a large amount of money to spend on someone so young and unproven, the deal is thought to be made up of incentives based on individual and team performances.
Pickford completed his medical in Poland after members of the Everton staff were sent out, with the player currently on international duty.
The deal sees Pickford become the third most expensive goalkeeper of all time.
