Everton eye Bologna forward Riccardo Orsolini

As mentioned on other recent articles on this site, Everton could certainly do with more options from width. Richarlison has moved up front, Theo Walcott has taken significant fan criticism as of late, and both Alex Iwobi and Bernard are struggling with an injury/form issue respectively, leaving little room for maneuver on the flanks.

Described as one of the ‘most promising Italian youngsters around’, Bologna credit the winger as possessing great speed, close control and dribbling ability, while he is also a powerful and physical winger who is strong in one-on-one situations and can shoot.

Orsolini being blessed with pace and technical ability makes him somewhat exciting to watch from width, and considering that Everton don’t have many players who could even attempt to fit that same bill currently, Orsolini’s signing could add something to the squad that is currently largely absent.

Once again though, Everton will need to prioritise first. Without being given an exact figure on the size of Ancelotti’s war chest, the Toffees need to ensure they sign another centre-back and a central midfielder during this window before they decide to flirt with other positions.
