Everton eye move for Kelechi Iheanacho

Everton are considering making a move to sign Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, according to a report from ESPN FC.

The 20-year-old has hardly had a look in at City since January and with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus ahead of him in the pecking order, that is unlikely to change, especially as Pep Guardiola is expected to bring in at least one more forward in the summer.

West Ham are reportedly interested in the Nigerian international too but Everton would likely be a more favourable destination for him with the club competing in the Europa League next season, meaning that regular game time is likely to be on offer.

Everton’s number one striker, Romelu Lukaku, is being linked with a big money move away from Goodison Park but regardless of his future, the Blues still need at least one striker and it looks like Iheanacho is one of the names on their list of targets.

City are reportedly asking for around £20million for the forward, time will tell if they are able to get that much for him and if Everton are the club willing to pay that amount.
