Everton eye summer swoop for Egyptian forward

Everton are understood to be eyeing up a move for Egypt forward Mahmoud Hassan, reports ESPN.

Hassan currently plays for Kasimpasa on loan from Belgian side Anderlecht, and has scored 14 goals and had five assists playing for the Turkish Super League side.

The left winger will be looking to impress in this summer’s World Cup for Egypt as he looks to gain a move to one of Europe’s top leagues.

The Toffees have had scouts watching Hassan play this season and have been impressed by what they’ve seen.

Nicknamed Trezeguet, after the former French footballer, many clubs are already alerted by the 23-year-old who has just a year remaining on his deal in Belgium.

Burnley and Leicester have also sent scouts to watch him play but it is Everton who could offer the best deal.

Sam Allardyce has actively looked to improve their depth and talent on the wing, as shown by the signing of Theo Walcott.

With Hassan wanting to move to a bigger league Anderlecht could be forced to sell, and Everton would love to get a cheap deal for the international teammate of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

matchday.
