Everton reportedly failed with a bid to sign Benfica striker Raul Jimenez on loan late in the transfer window.
A Bola, was per the Liverpool Echo, claim that Everton saw a €3 million loan bid rejected for the player.
Jimenez himself was linked with both Everton and West Ham throughout the window, with Benfica willing to sell according to reports.

The Toffees spent the summer chasing a striker after selling Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United earlier in the window.
Ronald Koeman’s men chased deals for Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi among others but were unable to land another forward.
Giroud was reportedly a key transfer target for Everton but they were unable to convince the French international to leave Arsenal, despite the Gunners bringing in Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
Everton did pull off one of the more eye-catching deals of the summer in bringing Wayne Rooney back to Goodison Park from Manchester United.
