Several Everton fans have expressed their delight for Duncan Ferguson following the caretaker manager’s first win with the club.
The Scotsman took over as manager at Goodison Park on a temporary deal following the sacking of Marco Silva, fulfilling a lifelong dream for the 47-year old.
Taking on Chelsea at Goodison Park, Ferguson faced somewhat of a baptism of fire, but the former Blue succeed with flying colours with his Toffees side seeing off the visitors in a confident 3-1 win.
Everton have now moved up to 14th in the Premier League table following the result, although they could yet drop lower following the rest of Saturday’s games that have yet to be played.
Reacting on social media, many fans were of course pleased with the result, but a number of fans reserved special delight for their fellow Evertonian Ferguson.

I couldn’t be more delighted for Duncan Ferguson, because beating Chelsea was quite literally a dream result for the big man.
Getting the three points against a tough side is, of course, a huge benefit from the performance, but on a personal level I can’t imagine how much that meant to the Scotsman.
Long may it continue in the coming weeks.
