Following reports that Everton may miss out on signing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino before Friday’s transfer deadline, several Everton fans have expressed that they’re not all that concerned with the development.
There have been plenty of reports concerning Everton’s supposed interest in Vecino these past weeks, with the club said to be keen on signing the 28-year old. However, Gianluca Di Marzio claimed earlier this week that the Blues could miss out, as Antonio Conte has decided he no longer wants to sell the midfielder.
Many Everton fans hadn’t been overly impressed by the speculation linking the club with Uruguayan in the first place, with doubts remaining over his ability and his re-sell value.
Vecino has played regularly for Inter this season, featuring 14 times in Serie A for the Nerazzurri (WhoScored), and with Everton short on midfield options, he had been seen as a solution to their squad depth issue.
Following Di Marzio’s report however, a number of Everton supporters have taken to Twitter to react to the story, expressing that perhaps Everton are better off not signing the midfielder…
