Everton fans claim defender “has to be” winner of the club’s Goal of the Month

In Everton’s opening four games of the new season, only four goals were scored in the opening three fixtures, all of which fell in August.

Bernard scored an impressive solo goal against Watford in the Toffees’ second Premier League tie of the season, Lucas Digne scored a stunning free-kick against Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup, and both Alex Iwobi and Richarlison both scored against the Imps too, both with headed attempts.

Only of those goals however, can be crowned Goal of the Month for Everton, and Everton have asked fans on Twitter to choose which goal they think deserves the award.

Several Everton fans took to social media to voice their opinion on who their choice for the award would be.
