Everton fans discuss who has been the club’s best player so far – Fan Reaction

We are only four games into the new season but several members of Marco Silva’s squad have already impressed for Everton, whether in the Premier League or Carabao Cup.

Fabian Delph, Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina and just three players to have shown their worth already and with plenty of the season to come you can bank on many more top performances.

But such is football a game of absolutes, fans are always keen to nail down their champion in any particular category. Best player for Everton after four games is no exception.

Several fans have taken to Twitter to share their opinions on who they would vote for Player of the Season if the campaign was to be just the four games long.

@SamDutton11 said: “Theres been a few, could say Richarlison because he has grabbed a few goals, could say Mina/kean because of a few good challenges or Delph for holding some of the midfield together at times and bossing it around on Sunday. Will be easier too identify a stand out after a few more.”

If I was voting for who Everton’s best player in general is, it would be Lucas Digne hands down. I think the full-back is phenomenal, and his elite consistency easily makes him a front-runner for that position.

However, if we’re talking who has been the best, purely from these opening four games (five in all comps) then it would have to be Yerry Mina for me. The man mountain has been a rock at the back for Everton, and apart from the one game against Villa, where every other player was equally poor, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.
