Everton fans don’t want the club to sign Chris Smalling this summer

Several Everton fans have voiced their thoughts on recent transfer speculation linking the Blues with Chris Smalling, with some supporters not keen on the defender.

The Manchester United centre-back has spent this season on loan with Roma, where he has become a regular under Paulo Fonseca, playing 19 times in Serie A for the Giallorossi.

While Smalling would like to remain in Rome next season, it looks unlikely that Roma could afford him if they miss out on Champions League qualification, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the defender’s agent has subsequently offered him to both Everton and Tottenham.

The England international had previously been linked with a move to Everton, with United turning down a loan offer from the Blues last summer.

Reacting to the recent reports, a number of Everton supporters took to social media to voice their thoughts, with many not wanting to see Carlo Ancelotti sign the former Fulham man.
