Everton fans have responded to the news that Marco Silva will take charge of the club against Leicester this weekend.
It was reported yesterday that the Portuguese coach will remain in charge of the Blues when they take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, despite many fans wishing for the manager to be sacked.
Silva has endured a torrid spell as Everton boss as of late, and losing to Norwich at Goodison Park last weekend was seen by many as the final straw.

However, following a board meeting after losing to the Canaries, Farhad Moshiri has decided to keep faith in his manager for the time being, still hoping that the former Watford boss can turn his fortunes around.
Responding to the news on social media, many Everton fans expressed their thoughts on the matter, from anger and frustration to gloomy acceptance.

Read Everton Verdict
I understand why some fans may feel that with Everton’s upcoming run of fixtures that it is the wrong time to change manager, but I would probably disagree.
Everton are in desperate need of any kind of elevation, and considering how stale and toxic the situation has become in recent weeks, a new manager could provide a much needed boost ahead of the upcoming games.
If Silva is already considered a dead man walking, I don’t think it is morally right to keep him around just to get through the next few games only to sack him afterward in order to protect a new manager, and I don’t think it helps the players.
If a new manager comes in, the stakes will be low because Everton aren’t expected to win many points in the next five games. It will however allow him to start making progress in shaping how his Everton side should play going forward.
