Many Everton fans react to Allan injury setback

The importance of £21m summer signing Allan was not lost on numerous Everton fans as they reacted to his hamstring injury in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Leicester City.

As per Liverpool Echo, Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti said of the 29-year-old’s body blow: “We have to check on him in a few days and then we will see how long [he will be out].”

The former Napoli man has been a near-constant starter for Everton since his summer move and his fighting qualities have been praised by Andrea Stramaccioni, his former manager at Udinese.

He is therefore likely to be sorely missed as the Toffees face an anxious wait to find out the severity of his hamstring problem. No reliable timeframe has yet been provided as to when Allan will become available again.

Following that setback, these Everton fans took to Twitter to lament the “huge blow” of losing the Brazilian midfielder to injury:
