Several Everton fans have reflected on Landon Donovan’s time at the club, ten years after the American first scored for the Toffees.
The United States international joined Everton on a short-term loan in January 2010 from LA Galaxy, while the MLS was experiencing its off-season, and the forward quickly became a fan favourite at Goodison Park.
The Blues had wanted to extend his loan deal but Galaxy refused, and Everton had to settle with bringing the American back on another loan deal in January 2012, again for just two months.
The 37-year old started seven of his ten Premier League appearances in his first short-term loan spell, scoring twice and assisting three goals for David Moyes’ side (Transfermarkt).
Following the 10 year anniversary of the first Everton goal from the self-professed ‘Evertonian for life’, a number of fans have reflected on their memory of the United States legend’s time on Merseyside.
