Everton fans reveal desired stadium capacity for new ground

Everton’s “regeneration project”, as the club are calling it, is in full swing.

You and I, however, might know it more by what it is – the process of getting a successor to Goodison Park.

The Toffees have called Goodison home since the ground’s completion in 1892, but few fans would claim the present facilities match the ambition of the club as a whole.

As such, Everton are in the process of trying to secure a new stadium down by the Mersey, to be built on the Bramley-Moore Dock.

Witnessing Tottenham Hotspur finish off their new multi-million pound complex, it is hoped that Everton will be able to produce something similar.

As part of the aforementioned process, Everton have continually consulted their faithful followers.

Most recently, it has been revealed what the Blues supporters think is an appropriate capacity for their new digs.

According to the Liverpool Echo, figures released by “The People’s Project” on social media have claimed that Everton fans want a stadium with 60,000 capacity.

This would add 20,000 to the present capacity of Goodison, and propel Moshiri Road into the upper-echelons of Premier League stadia.

matchday.
