Everton fans want Keane sale following Tottenham interest

Several Everton fans have called on the club to sell defender Michael Keane amid reported interest in the centre-back from Tottenham.

Football Insider recently claimed that Spurs had scouted the 27-year old over the past year, and that they had an approach knocked back by the Blues in December as they looked for reinforcements.

Everton’s pressing concern lies with finding reinforcements of their own, with the club only having three senior centre-backs, making it near impossible for them to have sanctioned Keane’s sale in January, regardless of whether he had been deemed surplus to requirements or not.

Ultimately, Everton did not want to lose the England international, knocking back the advances of Jose Mourinho’s side. However, with Football Insider claiming that Spurs are keen on defensive additions in the summer, a number of Everton fans have taken to social media to called on the club to take advantage and cash in on Keane.
