Everton forward Shani Tarashaj looks likely to soon depart the club, having joined former club Grasshopper Zurich on trial, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Having signed for Everton from Grasshoppers in January of 2016, the Switzerland international has yet to make a single appearance for the club’s first-team.
Since completing a £3million switch, Tarashaj remained with Grasshoppers till the end of the season, and was subsequently loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt the following season, where injury prevented him from picking up any steam.
Tarashaj made a handful of appearances for Everton Under-23s last season, but wasn’t able to do enough to force himself into the first-team plans of any of Everton’s recent managers.
Now with Marco Silva and Marcel Brands looking to trim the squad this summer, Tarashaj looks certain to bring a disappointing few years to a close soon enough.
