Everton may have received a transfer boost with Arsenal unlikely to follow up on interest in Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser any time soon.
The Bournemouth wide man was linked with Everton back in March and again in the summer, while pundit Tim Sherwood also suggested that the Scotland international should trade Dean Court for Goodison Park.
As well as Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea were also both reportedly keeping tabs on the 25-year old forward.
Fraser is out of contract next summer and could be available for a cut-price deal in January, while he could also be available for free at the end of the current campaign.

While a number of clubs will likely come in for the winger, who has been in and out of Bournemouth’s starting line-up this season, Arsenal will reportedly not attempt to sign Fraser in January.
Football.London claim that Arsenal’s interest in the summer, while initially serious, waned once Nicolas Pepe was brought to the club. The report also claims that even at a cut-price, the Gunners are unlikely to reignite interest in January.
While Fraser’s performances this season so far have paled in comparison to last season, the Cherries man could be a smart acquisition for Everton, particularly at a respectable fee.

To be clear, it isn’t clear how much interest Everton hold in Fraser, but there were enough tenuous links in the summer for Arsenal’s interest having dissipate to become an important news story for the club.
Theo Walcott is surely on the way out of Goodison Park soon, and with Silva having wanted Wilfried Zaha in the summer, he is clearly on board to sign more wide options, despite having signed Alex Iwobi in the summer.
Fraser would be a strong option to deepen squad depth on a free transfer, or even for a cut-price figure in January. Marcel Brands was able to convince free agent Bernard to pick Everton over other interested clubs, so maybe he could do so again if Silva wanted to sign Fraser.
