Everton handed transfer boost as Yacine Brahimi contract talks stall

Everton have been handed a massive transfer boost in their pursuit of Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi, with the attacker’s talks over a new deal stalling according to reports in Portugal.

A Bola report that the midfielder has refused to sign a new deal with Porto, amid interest from several sides across Europe.

The Algerian is out of contract at the end of the season and would be free to move to the club of his choice on a free unless Porto signs him to a new deal.

However, it now looks likely that Brahimi will not sign a new deal with the Portuguese side, with the report stating that Porto could withdraw their latest offer to the player.

Everton, along with fellow Premier League side Wolves, both had an interest in the attacking midfielder over the Summer, and could both be looking at a potential swoop in January. If the player continues to have a standoff with Porto over a new deal, the Toffees could get a cut-price deal in January, or snap him up on a free next Summer.
