- Everton will look to spend big in the upcoming summer transfer window.
- Enhancing depth is one priority as David Moyes seeks to bulk up his squad.
- Blues reportedly keeping a close eye on ex-forward Richarlison, who left in 2022.
Everton are already being linked with a multitude of names ahead of the summer transfer window.
Their last summer window brought in some much-needed quality, and now it is time for them to build on a season that has been filled with progression.
Although they have struggled in recent matches, the Blues’ defence has been solid this season, yet their attack has been questionable.
In an attempt to boost options up front, the Toffees are paying close attention to a former hero of theirs…
Everton are keeping an eye on Richarlison
Richarlison left Everton in 2022, in a sale that was forced due to the financial struggles the Blues were suffering at the time.
But Moyes’ side have not forgotten the Brazilian’s time at the club, and they would be open to re-signing the forward, according to TEAMtalk.
The 29-year-old has one year remaining on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur, which has left the Toffees very interested, as Spurs may choose to sell the forward, instead of renewing his contract.
| Season | Goals | Assists |
| 2025-26 | 10 | 5 |
| 2024-25 | 5 | 2 |
| 2023-24 | 12 | 4 |
| 2022-23 | 3 | 4 |
Richarlison’s four seasons at Spurs have fluctuated, but his most impressive has arguably been the current one, where he has ten 10 goals and four assists, in a campaign that is seeing the North London side battle for Premier League survival.
An additional factor of this deal is Tottenham’s league status from next season.
If Roberto De Zerbi’s side stay up, then there may be difficulties in securing a deal, yet if they drop to the Championship, the Blues could snatch Richarlison for a very good price.
Richarlison would settle back at Everton like a duck to water
The Brazilian international left the Toffees with tears in his eyes, and he was only sold to raise cash for Everton.
A return to the club he loved playing for would be welcome, and his playstyle would complement Moyes’ setup.
The Scotsman likes players who can play in multiple areas of the pitch, and Richarlison’s ability to play as a centre forward or on both wings is a desirable quality.
But year after year, he has developed a skill at being attentive in the penalty box and making use of his physicality to hold the ball and link up play.
There is an argument that the Toffees should not look back and focus on upcoming talent, but if the opportunity arises to bring Richarlison to Hill Dickinson Stadium, he would bring a surge of quality to this Everton side.
