Everton are looking at the possibility of signing Chelsea defender, Branislav Ivanovic to replace Phil Jagielka.
According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, who quote the Daily Mail, the Toffees see the Serbian as an ideal replacement for Jagielka, who is set to leave the club.
Ivanovic is out of contract at the end of the season and is able to discuss moves abroad now on a pre-contract agreement. This may make a summer move more likely for the defender.
The Serbian has been unable to break into Antonio Conte’s side this season, being used mainly as a substitute late on in games to see out a win.
Having struggled to hold down a place in Conte’s 3-4-3 this season it is unlikely that he will receive a new contract at the club.
Ivanovic joined the club way back in 2008 and has gone on to be a regular feature on the right of Chelsea’s defence. During his Chelsea career he has won everything there is to win in what has been a glittering career.
