Everton in pole position to sign Wilshere

Everton are reportedly in pole position to sign Jack Wilshere, if the midfielder leaves Arsenal this Summer.

According to the Daily Star, Sam Allardyce and Everton are the favourites to snap up Wilshere if he is to leave the Emirates Stadium this Summer.

The England midfielder is a free agent this Summer, with talks with Arsenal reportedly stalling over appearance payments, which isn’t helped by his terrible injury record.

Wilshere has made 28 appearances for Arsenal this season, in just over five months since recovering from another setback.

The midfielder would love to stay at the Emirates, where Wilshere has played for the majority of his injury-hit career. However, if the Gunners can’t offer a better deal, it looks like Wilshere could be moving elsewhere.

Wilshere suffered another injury last week, causing him to miss out on international duty with England. However, Gareth Southgate did confirm that it was not a serious injury and that Wilshere should be back soon.
