Everton Interested In Belgian forward

According to The Liverpool Echo, Everton are interested in signing Belgian Striker Laurent Delpoitre from Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent. Delpoitre has 11 goals to his name this season and has been a key player in Gent’s impressive Champions League form. Delpoitre also made his full international debut last October, bagging a goal in Belgum’s 4-1 win over international minnows Andorra.

Despite being impressive for KAA Gent, Delpoitre has only 18 months left on his current contract and has expressed a desire to play in the Premier League, meaning Gent could be willing to sell him this summer if the price is right.

Unfortunately, Everton are not the only side rumoured to be interested in the big Belgian Striker, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that 13 Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs are eager to obtain Delpoitre’s signature.

Everton have just recently signed Oumar Niasse from Lokomotiv Moscow, so it is clear to Roberto Martinez has placed an emphasis on bringing in more attacking reinforcements to take the burden off of Romelu Lukaku. It is safe to say that Evertonians will be keeping a close eye on Delpoitre as his Gent side take on Wolfsburg in the Champions League tonight.
