The future of Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is under plenty of scrutiny at the moment and it’s looking increasingly unlikely that he’ll sign a new deal at the club, with the contract saga dragging on.
This has led to speculation surrounding his future, but it doesn’t look as though the Toffees are hanging around in scouting around for potential replacements and according to an exclusive report from Goal, they have set their sights on Greuther Furth playmaker Robert Zulj.
The 25-year-old is plying his trade in the Bundesliga II and has been showing impressive signs throughout the course of the season, leading to the inevitable interest from clubs in better positions than Greuther.
Zulj has bagged six goals in all competitions for his side so far this season and has contributed with two assists.
He has represented his native Austria at every single youth international level but is yet to make his senior debut.
