Everton keeping tabs on striker Mbwana Samatta

Premier League side Everton are keeping tabs on prolific Genk striker Mbwana Samatta as the Toffees plot a move for the lethal forward, according to a report on HITC.

The Tanzanian international has made a blistering start to the season and has managed to find the back of the net 14 times in 16 matches.

The former TP Mazembe striker scored six times in Europa League qualifying and has netted once so far in the group stages and his impressive form has alerted several Premier League clubs, including Everton.

With striker Oumar Niasse set to leave the Merseyside club, manager Marco Silva is already looking at replacements and Samatta’s goalscoring form means he is on his radar.

Fellow English top flight clubs West Ham United, Burnley and Brighton are all monitoring the forward at the moment and could be tempted to battle for his signature.

Everton’s strikers have found it difficult to find the net with regularity this season, with many of their goals coming from the wingers or midfielders so Samatta could be an ideal transfer target.
