Everton leading the race for Boudebouz

Everton are reportedly leading the race to sign Montpellier playmaker Ryad Boudebouz this summer.

According to a report from Le Progres out in France, as cited today by talkSPORT, the Algerian international is keen to seek pastures new this summer and could be seriously tempted by the Premier League.

A plethora of English clubs are keen on the attacker but the Toffees are joined by Southampton at the front of the queue according to journalist Andrew Gibney.

Boudebouz has been in exceptional form for the Ligue 1 side so far this season and has racked up an impressive tally of nine assists. He’s also hit the net 11 times for Montpellier, making him one of their most valuable assets.

However, according to talkSPORT, the 27-year-old could be available for a fee as low as £8.5m this summer; a figure that is more than plausible for Ronald Koeman if he is looking to add more creative talent to the ranks.
