Everton linked with £10m move for Lamine Kone

Everton are being linked with a £10 million move for another one of Sam Allardyce’s former players.

Lamine Kone is the next player to find his name linked with a move to Goodison Park in the new year.

The Daily Mirror, as cited by the Express, claim that a deal could be on in January.

The pair worked together closely at Sunderland, where the Ivorian impressed immensely and was linked with the Toffees after some standout performances.

Kone was even linked with a move to Chelsea during the previous summer transfer window but he remained with Sunderland.

His commitment to the club has been questioned following their demise in the Championship.

New Sunderland boss Chris Coleman could look to sell the defender in January in order to raise funds for further arrivals.

Kone is believed to be one of the club’s top earners and the Black Cats are desperate to trim their squad.
