Everton make enquiry about Theo Walcott’s availability

Everton have made an enquiry about Theo Walcott’s availability ahead of a possible January move, according to a report from Oliver Todd of The Mail.

The 28-old has yet to start a Premier League game this season and his chances of being part of the England squad for the World Cup in Russia are looking slim unless he can start playing regular football.

Sam Allardyce selected Walcott in the only squad during his short spell as England manager and is said to be a big fan of the former Southampton man.

Allardyce is reportedly keen to add some more pace to his Everton side and Walcott would certainly do just that if a deal could get done.

Whether Arsenal are willing to let the forward leave, or if he would be interested in a move to Goodison Park, remain to be seen but it’s clear that Allardyce is looking to add to Everton’s attacking options when the transfer window opens.
