Everton have offered Wayne Rooney a coaching role at the club if he leaves for America.
The Daily Mail claims that the Toffees have made Rooney aware that there remains a place for him at the club, even if he completes a move to DC United this summer.
The former Manchester United forward has not hidden his intention to go into coaching when he does eventually hang up his boots.
Rooney has been heavily linked with a summer switch to the MLS after falling out of favour under Sam Allardyce.
Before his sacking Allardyce played down suggestions that Rooney wanted to leave the club.
Reports have claimed that the club are desperate to keep Rooney at Goodison Park, with last-minute talks taking place as they urge him to stay in the Premier League.
Despite only joining the club last summer, Farhad Moshiri is said to be looking to move Rooney on because of the huge wage he has commanded since joining from Manchester United.
