Despite some reports late last night claiming Everton had agreed a fee for Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, La Provence (via GFFN) report that a deal is unlikely to happen.
This report claims that Crystal Palace had a bid rejected for Sanson last week and while Everton had shown deadline day interest after a move for Abdoulaye Doucoure fell through, the 24-year old Frenchman has refused to leave the Ligue 1 club.
The former Montpellier man is expected to remain with Marseille for the duration of the 2019/20 season.

Sanson is another player who I haven’t seen an awful lot of in the flesh, but I do know that he has a fairly reputable reputation.
With Doucoure now definitely staying with Watford, it is interesting to see what Everton do in regards to that midfield signing, with it still difficult to see why one is being targeted after the signing of JP Gbamin.
Alex Iwobi, who can reportedly play in that position, appears to be the most likely signing currently, but with six hours remaining who knows what could happen on transfer deadline day.
