Everton Player Ratings: Chelsea (A)

Everton turned in a resilient display as they held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

In what was an end-to-end game, the Toffees were more than a match for Maurizio Sarri’s men, who continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The first half was a fiery affair and Everton felt hard done by following referee Kevin Friend’s respective decisions to only book Jorginho and Marcos Alonso for reckless challenges.

Alonso came closest for Chelsea on two occasions. His rasping volley forced a good save out of Jordan Pickford and he also drove a low shot against the post in the second half.

Bernard had a golden opportunity to net for Everton in the second half but failed to sort his feet out, as the Toffees struggled to test Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Everton were able to ride the wave of late Chelsea pressure to secure a well-earned point on the road. Take a look at how we rated Marco Silva’s men in the draw.
