Everton are plotting a swoop to sign Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa in the next transfer window.

According to Calcio Mercato, via Sports Mole, West Ham and Everton are both keen on bringing Kagawa back to England.

Kagawa has Premier League experience from his time at Manchester United, where he scored six goals in 57 appearances.

He is now currently at Dortmund in the Bundesliga and failing to find regular game-time under new boss Lucien Favre.

The likes of Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and Jadon Sancho are all ahead of Kagawa in the pecking order, leaving him to contemplate his future in Germany.

The report claims that Everton could strike a deal for Kagawa at around £11.5m in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old has made over 200 appearances for Dortmund across two spells with the club, scoring 60 goals.
