It’s the Battle of the Blues tonight as Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton hope to pull off an upset against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
Goodison Park will welcome the London giants as an out-of-form Everton side seek their first home win since beating Brighton at the start of October.
However, it is not just Chelsea that Everton are welcoming to Goodison Park; 2,000 lucky Evertonians, drawn through a ballot, are eligible to return to the home of the Toffees and cheer on their team at the stadium for the first time since the 1st of March.
Lampard’s visitors can reach the top of the table if they continue their good run of form to five wins from six league matches. Equally, Ancelotti could be looking to make changes in a bid to improve the overall performance of his team and get one over on his former club, who inflicted a 4-0 thrashing on the Toffees in their previous meeting. However, the Merseysiders are going for a third straight home win over Chelsea.
As injuries continue to mount, here is the Read Everton predicted XI to take on Chelsea in the Battle of the Blues, with two changes anticipated from the team which started at Burnley last week…
