Everton are preparing to beat Celtic to Stoke City goalkeeper Josef Bursik, according to reports.
The England Under-20s shot-stopper has attracted the attention of a number of clubs this season, with his contract with the Potters set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Celtic are believed to be very keen on signing the 19-year old, who has been on loan with Accrington Stanley this season, while Everton are reportedly ready to blow the Scottish champions out of the water.
According to Football Insider, the Toffees have been tracking the young goalkeeper’s progress, and they are readying a move to bring him to the Premier League.
Bursik has yet to commit to a new deal at the bet365 Stadium, and Everton are believed to be aware and ready to capitalise on the situation.
Celtic meanwhile are targeting Bursik with much doubt and uncertainty surrounding their senior goalkeeping options, which could mean the Hoops could look to push hard for the starlet.

Obviously it is difficult to know first-hand what Bursik can do and whether he is the type of player Everton should be looking to recruit, but I tend to trust in the club in their search for young talent.
Joao Virginia hasn’t had the best of seasons so far, but he is a young goalkeeper who has earned many plaudits at youth level. What signing Bursik would say for the Portuguese youth international’s future is unclear, but it is better to have more options to fill that position.
