Everton to reject Olympiakos’ move for Mirallas

Everton are set to reject any interest from Olympiakos in midfielder Kevin Mirallas, according to talkSPORT, who cite Het Laatste Nieuws.

Mirallas has fallen out of favour at Everton and the Toffees manager Ronald Koeman dropped him from the squad for their trip to Stamford Bridge at the weekend after the player’s attitude came under question.

Mirallas spent two years at Olympiakos from 2010 to 2012 and the Greek club are interested in bringing the winger back to the club.

Olympiakos have already held talks over a potential deal for the Belgian but Everton are reportedly set to reject any formal offers tabled by the Greek side for the player.

Mirallas has spent the last five seasons at Goodison Park but Koeman did not hide his disappointment in Mirallas’ attitude and lack of desire last season.

It is yet unclear whether Mirallas will still be an Everton player after the transfer window closes on Thursday night.
