Everton reportedly demanding €25m for Henry Onyekuru

Galatasaray are reportedly pushing to include an option to buy clause in Henry Onyekuru’s loan deal with the club, but Everton are demanding a premium price for the youngster.

Since Onyekuru’s arrival at Goodison Park in 2017, he has not yet played a competitive fixture for the club. This is due to the Nigerian youngster having failed to secure a work permit in sufficient time.

He spent last season on loan at RSC Anderlecht but struggled after coming in for criticism. This term, he will be playing his football in Turkey with Galatasaray and is believed to have already caught the eye of new boss Fatih Terim.

It’s now reported by Turkish news outlet Sabah that Galatasaray are keen to ensure that an option to buy clause is implemented in their deal with Everton.

However, it is also stated that Everton are desperate to ensure that they do not sell Onyekuru for anything less than top dollar, especially given that there remains a possibility of him featuring for the club next season.

Sabah’s report indicates that Everton will not agree to include a clause priced at anything under €25m, with Galatasaray still looking to negotiate an end of season buyout clause.
