Everton are reportedly looking poised to complete a deal for Gylfi Sigurdsson in the ‘next 48 hours’, according to the Mirror today.
The Toffees have held a long-standing interest in the Iceland international and it looks as though Ronald Koeman will finally secure his man ahead of the Premier League season’s kick-off next weekend.
Sigurdsson enjoyed a highly successful season at Swansea last term, and established himself as their most important player.

However, reports suggest that a deal worth £45m will be completed in the coming days, which would break Everton’s current transfer record.
Swans boss Paul Clement is claimed to be keen on selling Sigurdsson quickly, with him wanting to have funds available to him so that he can bolster his squad in the final month of the window.
Sigurdsson found the net 11 times last season for Swansea and he was undoubtedly a key part of their survival in the Premier League.
