Everton are reportedly edging ever closer to making a move for Benfica striker Raul Jimenez.
It’s claimed by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, as cited today by talkSPORT, that the Toffees had a scout in attendance for Benfica’s recent 1-1 draw against Rio Ave. Although Jimenez only came off the bench with around 15 minutes to spare, it’s believed that he was the subject of their scouting mission.

Everton have been on the lookout for a new striker ever since the £75 million departure of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United. Despite signing Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez this summer, they are still light up top and are in need of a quality forward before the window slams shut on Thursday night.
The Toffees have been linked with a move for Jimenez for some time now, and it looks as though they could make a late swoop for the Mexican international in the next week.
