Everton scout Macedonian striker to replace Lukaku

Reports suggest Everton are scouting Palermo striker Ilija Nestorovski ahead of a £17 million deal should the club lose Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

As reported by Italian outlet, Calcio Mercato, the Macedonian international is a target for Ronald Koeman’s side, who could lose Lukaku in the summer following an impressive campaign.

The 26-year-old has scored nine goals in Serie A, despite Palermo’s poor form, as well as registering three assists.

Lukaku, on the other hand, has been in impressive form this season and is currently the league’s second-highest goalscorer with 16 to his name. He recently scored four in one game against Bournemouth.

It has been reported that Chelsea tried to sign Lukaku back in the summer when there were doubts over Diego Costa’s future when Antonio Conte initially took over.

Costa’s future is likely to be a topic of discussion in the summer again, but the striker is thought to be ready to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
