Everton seen as best destination for Youri Tielemans

Everton have been strong believers in buying and developing talented young players into first-team stars at the club and it appears they have their eyes set on another.

French newspaper L’Equipe (h/t Sport Witness) state that Everton are one of three Premier League sides along with Chelsea and Liverpool that are keen on signing Anderlecht wonderkid Youri Tielemans in the summer.

The 19-year-old has made headlines this season with a number of stunning long-distance strikes and is already one of the top players in the Belgian Pro League.

So far this term, Tielemans has netted 18 goals and recorded 11 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions playing primarily as a central midfielder.

Having made his international debut for Belgium last November, the teenager has started to appear on the radars of a number of top European clubs, with Ligue 1 leaders AS Monaco also keen on signing him.

Rated at €25m, it’s understood that Tielemans will be allowed to leave the club in the summer if his transfer fee is met in full and he will be seemingly spoilt for choice in terms of possible destinations.

Despite his young age, he’s already made 175 appearances for Anderlecht before he’s turned 20, scoring 35 goals and recording 27 assists in the process.
