Everton star hasn’t ruled out staying at Goodison

Everton’s Wayne Rooney is due to fly out to America this week as he holds talks with DC United, but hasn’t ruled out remaining at Goodison Park, according to ESPN.

An agreement has already been put in place with DC, but he could still decide to remain at the Toffees with a year left to run on his current deal at the club.

The move, if it goes through, is set to be worth £12million.

The plan is for Rooney to do a tour of the city before having meetings with the general manager and CEO, followed by a tour of the training ground at DC.

Rooney was the Toffees top scorer last season finding the back of the net on 11 occasions, but wouldn’t be able to play his first game in America until July the 10th.

This would likely be the final move of Rooney’s career if it were to happen.
