Unless you believe the lunacy that some certain outlets have been promoting this week, Silva’s gesture can only be perceived in a positive way. More so than with his predecessor, Silva understands how to treat and interact with Everton’s fan base, and it’s great to show him continue that relationship against Lincoln.
Everton really are a club that are built on their fan base, with the Toffees possessing one of the most committed fan bases in the country. They deserve to be rewarded and if what the club do on the pitch isn’t enough, it’s always good to see them make a difference off of it.
